Complete six-volume set in two illustrated slipcases
An exceptionally well-preserved, new and still sealed Folio Society edition of Winston S. Churchill's monumental history of the Second World War. All six volumes remain together in their two original three-volume slipcases, with the protective plastic wrapping still intact.
Churchill's The Second World War is both a major historical work and one of the defining firsthand accounts of the conflict. Written from the unique perspective of Britain's wartime prime minister, the six-volume work traces the origins, conduct, personalities and consequences of the war from the gathering crisis of the 1930s through Allied victory in 1945.
The Folio Society produced a particularly handsome edition, with uniform brown bindings, gilt spine lettering and red numbered roundels. The two substantial slipcases are illustrated with striking period photographs of Churchill, creating an impressive set both for reading and display.
