A beautifully preserved three-volume collection devoted to the extraordinary drawing collections of the Louvre Museum. Published by George Braziller in 1968 and printed in France, the set brings together works from the major European schools represented in the Louvre's Cabinet des Dessins.

The set comprises:

• The Italian Drawings — Roseline Bacou, with the collaboration of Françoise Viatte

• The French Drawings — Maurice Serullaz

• The German, Flemish and Dutch Drawings — Roseline Bacou

Each volume is handsomely bound in brown cloth with silver lettering and contains extensive reproductions of drawings from the Louvre collection. The three books are housed together in the original illustrated slipcase.

This is the 1968 George Braziller trade edition, rather than a numbered limited edition. Nevertheless, it is an exceptionally well-produced art reference set, printed in France and particularly attractive in this condition.

Condition: Near Fine books in a Very Good original slipcase. The three volumes are exceptionally clean and appear to have seen little, if any, actual use. Cloth bindings remain remarkably fresh, with bright silver lettering, tight bindings, and clean interiors. The original illustrated slipcase shows some light age and shelf wear but remains solid and attractive. The three original individual dust jackets are not present. Please see photographs for the condition of this remarkably well-preserved set.
