First on the Moon

A fascinating firsthand-era account of humanity’s greatest voyage — First on the Moon captures the excitement, danger, and wonder surrounding the Apollo 11 mission that carried Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins to the lunar surface in 1969. Written by Gene Farmer and Dora Jane Hamblin and published just one year after the moon landing, this substantial illustrated volume blends journalism, history, and contemporary insight into one of the defining achievements of the twentieth century. A wonderful addition for collectors of space exploration, NASA history, or vintage science and technology books.
