Published in New York by The Heritage Press in 1971, this beautifully produced volume features decorative cloth boards and spine, distinctive Ardizzone illustrations throughout, and the original burgundy slipcase. Also included is the original Heritage Club Sandglass (Number IX:36) discussing Dickens, the selection of stories, and the production of this edition.

This is an exceptionally clean copy, both inside and out, with bright cloth, a tight binding, and crisp, clean pages. The slipcase remains sturdy and attractive with only light signs of shelf wear.

Condition: Fine book in Very Good+ slipcase. The book is remarkably clean and appears to have seen very little use. The slipcase shows minor age and shelf wear but remains solid and presents very well. Please see photographs for condition.
